Ben started training as a violinist at age 5. His teachers have been Kathy Hykes, Linda Swanson, Lin He, Jonathan Sturm, Federico Agostini and Simin Ganatra. He completed a master's degree in violin performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2015 and then taught at Music Center of the Northwest in Seattle, WA.
